Mall City Voices

We love to sing!!!  So much so that we’ve been singing in Kalamazoo for the past 84 years!!! Kalamazoo’s iconic Mall City Voices a-cappella chorus was founded in early 1941 (even before Pearl Harbor!). And from within our chorus, we also have quartets to perform a various civic…patriotic…corporate…school…seniors’…other events.  Our mission is to perpetuate the American art form of Barbershop singing and encourage vocal harmony and good fellowship among our members.  We seek to encourage and promote the education of our members in music appreciation of Barbershop quartet and chorus singing.  And this year, 2014, marks the 79th Anniversary of the (now) international Barbershop Harmony Society, founded in 1938; Kalamazoo was chartered as the Society’s13th Chapter 3 years after the formation of the Barbershop Harmony Society, founded in 1938.  We’re always looking for people who love to sing.  Come visit us during one of our regular Tuesday night rehearsals, at Skyridge Chruch of the Brethren in Kalamazoo (not affiliated with the church).  Contact us for more information.
