Kellogg Community College’s Arts and Communication Department invites the public to open October with a celebration of the arts Oct. 1.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will include:

A reception with artist Meagan Wildt Thomas focused on her exhibit “Portals: The Abstract Nature of Memory,” running through Oct. 15 in the DeVries Gallery
A reception with the sculptors who created the eight new sculptures installed on campus this summer as part of the College’s Triennial Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition
A campus sculpture tour led by KCC Art Professor Heather Stratton from 6 to 7 p.m.
Student art for sale by KCC’s student Art League, with proceeds supporting the student artists
