Kids learn the art of handmade papermaking in our studio!
Kids LOVE making paper, and we are excited to offer a kids' papermaking workshop this Spring! They will learn how to make handmade sheets of paper using 100% cotton fibers, and all the terms, while they become adept at using the papermaking equipment and colorful pulp to create super cool color-decorated sheets of paper. At the end of the workshop, they will watch our hydraulic press squeeze the water out of their soggy pulp sheets and dry them into flat sheets of usable paper!
The paper must dry in our press and will be ready for pick up during the following week, during our normal hours.
*Note: this is a class for Elementary and Middle School students. Adults may register only if accompanying a child as a guardian and receive a $5 discount when enrolling with their child. Parents who do not enroll may drop off their kids or wait in our gallery area.
