The Crescendo Academy of Music Orff Studio provides group music lessons to students ages 5 through 12. Students have the opportunity to experience and learn music through movement, instrument ensembles and voice. The goal is to develop fundamental musicianship by experiencing pulse, rhythm, melody, harmony, form and timbre. These skills allow participants the freedom to express one’s own musical ideas in a supportive environment. The Orff studio has a complete set of instruments including xylophones, glockenspiels, drums and other un-tuned percussion. Students
experience and work with all the elements of music through quality literature and musical experiences, building a vocabulary from which to appreciate, explore, create and notate music of their own.
