ARTbreak : Talk: Natural Science Illustration with artist Gail Guth

Gail Guth says, "The goal of a natural science illustrator is to combine the images of the natural world with elegant art technique in order to tell the story of science. The goal of a graphic designer is to combine the client s images and words with elegant art technique in order to tell that client s story ? two sides of the same coin." Since 1976, Gail has created art using both traditional and digital media for the publishing industry as well as organizations like Pierce Cedar Creek Institute and Binder Park Zoo. Come learn about an unusual career that melds an interest in science and the natural world with a love of art.

ARTbreak is a weekly program about art, artists and exhibitions. Donations welcome. Bring your brown bag lunch, coffee provided.
