ARTbreak: The Art of Michael Waskowsky with Greg Waskowsky

For the two decades prior to his death in 1969, Michael Waskowsky headed the Art Department at Kalamazoo College and frequently taught figure drawing KIA. As a painter, he explored many themes, but found continuing inspiration in the landscapes he encountered, ranging from the jungle-covered coast of New Guinea to the lakes and hills of Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula. Join Greg Waskowsky as he discusses his father's artistic journey. This talk is part of an occasional series remembering some of Kalamazoo's prominent artists.

ARTbreak is a weekly program about art, artists and exhibitions. Donations welcome. Bring your brown bag lunch, coffee provided.
