MCACA Grant Workshop in Kalamazoo County
March 25, 2015
PRESENTED BY THE STAFF OF THE MICHIGAN COUNCIL FOR ARTS & CULTURAL AFFAIRS
The State of Michigan, Michigan Council for the Arts & Cultural Affairs (MCACA), Region 8 Minigrant Program is a partnership between the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and 10 regional regranting agencies throughout the state. Minigrants provide up to $4,000 for locally developed, high quality arts and cultural projects as well as up to $1,500 for professional and organizational development. These are special opportunities to address local arts and cultural needs as well as increasing public access to arts and culture. Minigrants support a broad range of artistic expression from all cultures through projects which preserve, produce or present traditional or contemporary arts and culture and/or arts education.
This workshop provides a walkthrough of the guidelines and panel process, and offers the perfect opportunity to comb the application in detail, focus your questions and get some answers.
Target audience includes grant writers and fund development staff of non-profit organizations seeking funds for an arts project as well as arts designated non-profits seeking professional development funds. Individual artists seeking professional development funds are encouraged to instead set-up a one-on-one appointment with the grant administrator, Sara Jean Kwapien at email@example.com.
